No you are not a whiner, I also wanted it to have a kick starter, but just our luck that it will be standard on the 2007 models. LOL

Well that's something to think about.
Maybe they will give it a fully adjustable front fork like suzuki did for the later drzs's as well.
How can I convert the metric figures that the guys are giving for valve clearances to standard?

If you mean mm to in, divide mm by 25.4 to get in.

Thanks . I've been doing shims since my old Z1.
Shims on the bucket, shims under the bucket, screw type for the honda.
I've always used in.
Any mag tests to read yet about the klx?

You can add the extended warranty any time during the first year.
Yeah, but the dealer originally quoted the warranty at over $550 and now wants more because it is a "used" bike now... And I thought it was common to give a 20% discount on parts for a year with a new bike purchase. They gave me 20% off parts the day I bought it only.

The extra 4 years cost me $440.00
Can I buy a warranty directly from Kawasaki? How much is a valve job? If the manuals, tools and parts are under $600, the warranty doesn’t seem like such a deal.

Well the warranty might not cover the fact that we let the valves go un-adjusted until there is a problem. Trust me warranties are only good if you have scheduled maintenance documented.
