It seems Michelin or Max is Enduro are good all-rounders (all off-road terrain and conditions), that are road legal in the UK.
Just wondered which is best and are there any others to consider.

Why do you need road legal tires? Have you had anyone check them?

Assuming I don't can you recommend a good all rounder for green laning in the UK. Wet slippery mud and chalk in the winter, and have been told hard as nails in the summer, both with a smattering of rocks, tree roots and water.

I'm sorry, just get goofy some times. Seems in the U.S. the Dunlop 606 is the hot ticket for serious off roading with the legal capability for road riding. Personally I use Duro Median HF903/904 tyres/taurs/tires which are more a 60/40 tire, but never had any issues in most terrain where I ride. My brother did some DOT knobbies and wore them out in 1000 miles, I get about 4000 miles from the Duros. Just depends on how much actual off road you'll do.

As for the Michelins versus Dunlops or others, it is probably more important what the price and availability will be with you in the UK.
