Default TwoBros melted my DTX, tail chop, & low budget silencer

So I got a 2009 D-Tracker X (DTX) which is the fuel injected KLX250SF over here in Asia. I got a nice new TwoBros aluminum can and rode it 500 miles across Thailand. Besides being ridiculously loud, it melted my turn signal and some of the fender. No big deal as I was planning to do an Edge light kit anyways.

Rather than keep the long stock fender I decided to chop the tail and lose the extra piece of fender that has the Kawi logo. As you can see, it's pretty easy to just hacksaw the AL frame, pop in the rubber grommets, and modify the new light bracket to fit the bike. The Edge light's shape goes well with the Kawi bodywork too.

Although I ordered a TBR P3 power tip, it will takes weeks to show up so I made this low budget tip and screen. I just bought an electrical junction box cover and cut it into a circle with a hole. Then I stuck a conduit clamp in as the nozzle.

The plate was too thin and rattled in the TwoBros so I got a metal kitchen strainer and jammed it into a bottle to form it. Trimmed it around the stock arrestor and it's just thick thick enough to take up the slack in the muffler. The setup looks kinda weak but it does work in muffling the sound. I don't think the open screen I used will be an effective spark arrestor but this is for city use so I'm not too concerned.

I also found room to ziptie a bicycle pump to the frame next to the muffler.

Why is my TBR can all messed up? It was melting the side panel and saddlebags so I wrapped it with cloth to insulate it, but then the cloth melted onto the can and ruined the logo finish. Sucks but hopefully TwoBros will mail me a new logo so I can replace it when I do a repack.

When I get the P3 tip in I'll do a video comparison of the noise levels.

I just bought a tbr carbon exhaust for mine and no edge tail kit yet. I hope I don't have same problem! But good problem solving for that homemade power tip! Does anyone else have this prob with tbr exhausts?!?!

Saw a guy who had the same thing happen to a WR250R. The turn signal had melted completely from its mount and was hanging by the wires .

I think he had an FMF silencer, but it was the same situation where the exhaust was directed straight to the blinker

Yeah, Two Brothers seem to be noticably louder than most other brands.

I emailed Two Bros a week ago with my unfortunate situation, but they never replied. All I asked for was a new logo that I could re-rivet on myself. I guess customer service is not TwoBros specialty, sad. I may get a FMF Q4 muffler later on since I'm definitely getting their Megabomb header.

Kind of weak that they price the p3 insert $10.00 higher than the other inserts too. But HAD to have it as the man would be giving out equipment violations w/ that amount of racket.

When I ordered the 2 bros the anodized spacer was missing, they sent out this huge box to ship when an envelope would have sufficed..... but it showed up in 2 days. Then sent a shirt to boot, I can't complain about their customer service.
