Default Twin Air Or Uni Air Filter?

Hey guys I was thinking of upgrading to a Twin Air Or UNI Air filter on my KLX and was wondering which is a better option? Also I am a little tight for cash right now so I need to make sure I am making the right decision.. Will I notice a power difference by upgrading the air filter? If not, I can just keep the stocker as I have already taken off the air box lid.

Thanks!
Jamie

I asked a similar question. Consensus was a modest amount of power of stock. If money is tight, I would purchase gas and ride it as much as possible....

I had a brain fart when ordering a new filter and just got another stock one. It to tore at the seam like the one that came with the bike. What a bunch of junk. Ended up getting a Twin Air. Did it add any pep? I dunno cause I rejetted it and did some other free mods. Was it better than a UNI? probably the same. If your going to wash it be careful cause it only gets worse, i guess you could sew it back togeather but thats kind of hack.

I put a Twin in my KLX that I'd first meant to put in my KDX. All you have to do is look at the stock sponge and the Twin side by side and you'll see that the Twin is much better for air flow. The stock filter is trash compared to either the Twin or Uni.

I'd go with the Twin Air over the Uni. The twin air is smaller in size which allows more air box volume=more air=a little bit more power.

The stock unit and the Uni are both too big and restictive.

Just my 2 cents.

Ride on.

I'd go with the Twin-Air. I had a Uni on my '06 and then a Twin-Air on my '09. Both are good quality but the TA feels stronger and it has twin areas in which to filter the air. It's what most of the pros use if that says anything but they just use what they're paid to use. Either one, you can't go wrong for around $22 or so.
