Default Turn Signal Cancel Switch

Ever since I purchased my 2009 KLX250S (July 2011) I've noticed the turn signal cancel switch is unusually hard to depress.
I tried squirting some switch cleaner in there but it made no difference.

Before I spend the money on a new one and disassemble the whole housing, can you tell me if this is normal for this bike?

Thanks...

I got the 2010 model and have the same thing. Hard to push and sometimes I have to hit it twice to get them to shut off. Figured it was just new and stiff

My 07's switch is easy to disengage, and I don't remember anyone ever asking about a tough one.

My switch goes back and forth. Seems to me I have to make sure to push it completely straight, if I have pressure at all to the right or left it sticks.

Mine worked perfect till I took it[the bike] down to the local dealer for a 351 install. Took it for a ride but the blinkers would only go side to side with no shut off. Had to stop and push the lever down pert hard to get it to stop.
It works better now just have to put a bit of down and in.

I called the service guy and told him that they dropped some thing on the bike during the week they had it. He said no way,

This is what it looked like when I got back from the first 351 ride.

You might try holding a little down pressure and see if it helps.

+1 Mine is easy. I have actually thought about buying the 06 whole turn signal high beam switch for my 98 KLR, it doesnt have a cancel button. You have to physically movie the switch back to the middle.

Mine isn't too hard to push, but it's a bit awkward. I sometime click the blinker on when I try to cancel. My brake line blocks the turn signal indicator so I'll ride for miles like that. Yeah, I'm one of those guys.

Just looked it up........you have to purchase the whole housing assembly on the left handlebar..........$82.00
They don't sell just the switch.

I don't think so.
I'll just put up with it or maybe disassemble it and see if I can get some lube inside the switch mechanism.

Thanks for the replies...
