Turbo MoTard

I was just wondering how many guys we have that are stricty street? I have a buddy that is doing some amazing things with his WR and I was wondering if there is a market with the KLX too. He just turbo charged his WR 250 and has it getting a 75% increase in HP! The way that thing drives is like the best of both worlds the bottom end of a 4 stroke and the top of a two. It is just insane ride. Of course I would not take it off road but for the stricktly street guys this would be a awsome mod.

Wow! That's crazy. That's how I felt when I rode the DRZ last summer, but that WR is absolutely awesome. I wonder how the
tranny
, chain and motor will take the extra power? Still very cool. ;)

He has run it on the Dyno and the motor seems to love the extra air I think he hit something like 52 HP. And as far as the chain and sprocket there are bikes with a lot more power so I am sure they will hold up.

that is sick!!!!! I want one!!! for the klx of course!!!

how much did it add to the bike and when is he doing it for the klx? I'd take that beast offroad all day long and love it.

Put it this way in Hp it added our stock bike. And I don't think he has thought about doing it for other bikes yet. That is why I was seeing if there was enough people that would want it before I pitched it at him. He is working on making a Kit for the WR to sell but I would have to show him it would be worth it for the KLX too.

Hell I would be in and you know it would sell in japan. I'm sure it won't be easy though with a carburetor

75vette 04-08-2009 08:03 PM

It would be the same as changing exhaust... You have to rejet to account for more air going out faster.

Mudhore 04-08-2009 08:46 PM

Man I think that there would be enough of us that would buy something like that if it was avalible and reasonably priced!
