Trail Tech headlight

Has anybody tried one of these on their KLX?

http://trailtech.net/x2_kits.html

Since reading the last post on the Vapour speedo by Arctra, I started thinking of swapping out my headlight and speedo for the Trail Tech gear. It seems fairly inexpensive for what I figure the weight savings will be.

Thanks R

I've seen these on several bike pics on posts over on ADV but haven't heard much about the actual performance and details on the light. I know you go over on ADV too. I'm surprised we haven't seen more operational detail about these. Surely I've missed a post about these. They look darned cool.

dan888...aren't you in the market for a new headlight number plate?...LOL!

@TNC, LOL? You had to throw the LOL on there? :D

The TrailTech X2 is the way I think I'm going. I asked earlier this fall if anyone was using it here on KF. Someone was using it, the non DOT halogen one, but I cannot find that post anywhere!!! I also had some pic's I gleaned from the web of X2's on different KLXi, I cant find those either!!!! Geeeez
I'm all kinds of help. :)

Bike Bandit has them for $64

I went and ripped the whole headlight and speedo assembly off. I haven't weighed it yet. but it feels like four lbs to me.
I can get the vapour/x2/dashboard for about $250 shipped. I think I am gonna do it.

I think it's a good way to go. Where are you buying from? DOT version or non DOT? Please post up some pics when you do the install.

I am getting it from Gnarly parts in Canada. I think I will end up having to completely change my adventure bike set up with the windshield and GPS mounts etc. I may take the opportunity to stick on some fat bars and the HDB hand guard/mirror/turn signal stuff.
Along with doing the valves and a bunch of maintenance stuff, this could be and expensive but fun winter.
