Default Top mods?

Which are the best mods to put on the KLX?

1.Remove snorkle box(open air box) and install jet kit
2.KDX snorkle and jet kit
3.KDX Snorkle, Exhaust & Jet kit?

4.Install rear sprocket to 13 tooth?

5.Which exhaust is the best? Muzzy/FMF/2Bros in terms of power & noise
--Slip on compared to full exhaust(any difference?)

- Remove snorkle
- Jet kit
- Slip-on exhaust (All the ones you listed are good)
- 13 tooth front sprocket
- Change air filter (Twin Air or Unifilter)

All that will improve the performance noticable. Worked for me nicely.

Do this at the same time:
1. remove airbox lid
2. jet kit
3. 351cc kit
4. full exhaust
5. foam air filter
6. 1/4 turn throttle

Now it's right

13T front? What happens if you change the rear?

You can change the rear but it won't be a 13 tooth. It'll be something like 45 or 47.
Changing the front smaller or the rear larger will have the same effect on the gear ratio.

+1 what Cousinlarry said except you'll have to have a bit chunk of extra cash to do it. HaHa.

Do what is in my signature, that is unless, you have the money for the 351 kit. It will sure perk it up over the stock set up. I like the sound of the FMF. I have read that the Muzzy is LOUD and more expensive. No thanks on the real loud and expensive. Maybe one day I'll do the 351. If money is real tight, you may want to remove the snorkle, put in a 128 main, an FMF slip on and turn the fuel screw out to 2 1/2 turn. $300 or so. Best of luck!!
