For what it is worth, I installed the Mikuni TM33 pumper carb on my XT225 (along with a number of other engine mods). It was the single most significant mod I did to the bike. Throttle response is instant at all RPMs. Well worth the cost. If I get a KLX250S in the future it will be one of the first mods I do.

How did the Mikuni pumper effect fuel economy?

 

I expected that MPG would go down but that has not happened. The last time I actually checked fuel mileage I got 69MPG. That's on my XT225 bored 4 over, Megacycle performance cam, Wiseco piston, port and polish, White Bros exhaust and the TM33 carb. The test was a 60 mile pavement ride at about 50mph average, although I rarely ride much on the street/highways.
