Hi Team
Just had some questions on my TM33 install. What do I do with the vacumm??? hose that goes into the stock carby underneath at that front shown on the first pic.
And then do I put something on the hole shown on the TM33 in the second pic.

The hose on the stock carb is the de-iceing circut that for some reason is on AU bikes. you dont need it anymore so just pull it off. The hoses connect to the radiator hoses so You will need to either get a new radiator hose or put straight hose connection through to replace the T connector (this is what I did and have had no problems).

Not sure on the TM-33 question cause I still run the stock carb...... for now any way.

We need the De icing curcuit here don't we....NOT haha
Figured out it was a coolant line when I took it off and green stuff went everywhere..... So i just routed it straight back to the head. Dunno if I need the big bubble thingo but I will post a pic of what I have done later. It looks fine to me but as I've said before, I'm no mechanic.
With the TM33 i'm not even sure If the hole goes anywhere....

You can get rid of everything connected to the de-icing stuff. That bubble thing is some sort of thermostat I think. :confused:

I just blocked em off as far back as I could. From memory I plugged the hole in the engine with a bolt and fibro washer and stuffed a piece of steel rod into the end of the hose and used a hose clamp. I cut the hose right back as close to the t junction as I could. saved me getting another hose. :D

So Guys I did this with the hose and by passed the carby totally.
The second pic is the bit I left out. Will that cause any major problems?
Any thoughts on the TM33 hole?

Yeh that will work but go further.
Block the hole in the engine with a bolt, pull off all that crap and block the other end as close to the T-piece that connects to the RHS radiator hose.

Even if you put back on the CV carb, who needs a de-icing circuit living in Sydney? :D

I would go back further as well. By memory you have to get a bolt to block the hole in the head (not sure the size but if you do a search there's a couple of threads about it already). Then just put a cap on the T piece or put a connector in. I just used a threaded brass connector I found at work.

I took it off cause I was worried it was just anther hose that could get snagged, which would suck cause it would drain the radiator and spoil my day.

So I got the new carb in. Bit of a drama, tight fit and had to move main loom.
Started straight away so happy as. Seems to have a major flat spot as you roll the throttle on for the first 2000 rpm.
Thats the needle underneath to fix that right? Do I turn it in or out???
Also was wondering if my fitment is right? Seems to be a lot of carby showing on the engine side, into the intake boot.
Also fitted a filter for good measure, yes I know there is one in the tank but wanted extra protection. I will tidy it up later.

Sorted it with some tweaking of the fuel air screw
