Default Tires

Okay, so I've been looking at tires. I need something that can grip off-road, but last a litle while on road. The Cheing shin tire is cheap, but The tread looks like a 3 year old playing with a etch-a-sketch. The Pirelli tire looks pretty nice. Any help?

I like my Dunlop D606's - really beefy looking and handle great in the dirt and pavement.

Booo was hoping I'd get a little more out of it than the stock. Although I got 1500miles out of the stock and could have reasonably got a few hundred more, so I guess thats still a bonus. My front stock is fine dandy too, just hated them. Think i might go in the mud today after i put a bigger jet in.

I've been hearing that the 606 has been lasting an average of 5000 miles with "normal" use (check out advrider.com).

That's funny because I have a brand new set of Kenda 270's in the shop here at work, and I don't really want to use them, I want to keep with the 606 tire, its taller andI think the compound is a lot harder. I have 3000 on my rear 606 and I think it has close to another 1000 miles left in it.Too bad shipping was so much, or other wise I could send the 270's to you and you could buy me a set of 606's and we could do some sort of trade. Hmmmmmm Someone told me that the 270 would be a great motard tire and still have some off road ability. It has twice the blocks as the 606, and is a lot softer compound for sticking on the blacktop. They sort of remind me of the old dual sport 50/50 tires.
