Without shelling out a grip of cash on a Paray adjustable cdi, I recall aftermarket timing advance mounts for the timing pick up for two strokes or an offset woodruff key. On my Baja bug it was simple just turn the distributor. Slotting the stator backing plate mount holes is easy, as is installing a new woodruff key. Any owners delve into this idea or is it not worth the trouble laughable & rediculous on the klx? Any benefits or? Thanks for your experience or input
I thought about an offset woodruff key or even just slotting the stator mounting hole to adjust the timing but I've purchased one of the less restrictive ECU's from Dmitriy instead.

What benefit did you receive? More bottom, mid or top end ? FI klx?
When I rebuilt the 351, I did elongate the pickup mounts. Might get a degree.
Ive done the 351 as well, what benefit did you find? The 351 increase in bottom & mid was decent, top not so much but I added 3 teeth to the rear sprocket to bring the power lower too.
Advancing ignition mechanically via flywheel will elevate entire ignition curve. I'm not sure you want it as advancing too much at lower rpm will cause detonation. Be careful.
