Default swapping front wheel on a KLX250SF

I'm thinking of replacing the 17-inch front on my KLX250SF with a 19-incher so I can put on a narrower knobby tire (than if I stayed with the 17-inch).

Here's the question - how do I adjust the speedometer/odometer for the different size wheel? I looked up the part numbers and it seems like both the KLX250S and KLX250SF both use a magnetic sensor. So shouldn't I just have to adjust the wheel diameter setting in the speedometer/odometer? I can't find any instructions on how to do this.

BTW, OEM prices for a new wheel are around $600! I'm seeing if Forrest at Wheeling Cycle Supply can help me out but I need to know how to handle the different wheel/tire size. Thanks.

If you have a digital speedometer you can use the speedo healer. I had one on my VFR and they work great. You just need a GPS to find out how off you are.
