Swap black plastics for green?

The Kawi green on my '09 is like new, but I'd like a black bike for a change.

Anyone wanna' swap?

And BTW, I'm a lurker turned member out in Oregon.

cheers

I hope I'm not hijacking by saying this, but is it possible to buy black plastics for the KLX? I've looked alot of places and never had luck.

For awhile there was a place in England that sold them on ebay and the prices were ok. I haven't look in awhile though

I went from red to black, purchased the oem '10 sf plastics and the fit and finish is terrific.

It was worth the extra money to buy oem imo. Online prices were much better than the closest dealership.

I would think that would be cost prohibitive..........especially if you want the OEM graphics.
What did it cost total?

Its really not that badly priced. My bike is a 2010 and it was green with white number plates. I didnt want white number plates so I just changed them to black. Ordered the oem black side and front number plates. Looks ALOT better. I was gonna get the 2012 cause its green and black but it was MONTHS before we got our shipment so I settled for a leftover. Long story short, I was shocked that the black side number plates had the klx250s decal already on them. Usually you have to buy decals separate. I prefer the stock plastics over aftermarket cause the fit and finish is better. Plus they always seem to be thicker and higher quality plastic. I still got my white num plates. Maybe have 200 miles on them, no offroading on them if someone is interested.

The cost came to about $450 w/ shipping. The oem graphics were already installed.

I would have kept the red plastic if it was all red with no white showing.

Of course I never priced all the other plastics. I would def pay the extra money for oem plastics. I did that on my 05 brute force. Went from red to a black and kawi green theme. Even comparing the stock kawi plastics to other manufacturers like honda, yami and suzi. Kawis are just way thicker and seem to hold up way better. Makes me so happy to be a kawi freak! haha. We are spoiled for sure.

I've got a new '09 with about fifty miles on it, no scratches no offroad. I'd rather have a green bike.
