Not just dual sports. Those goofy whale tail fenders can be found on new sport bikes too, but the owners often remove them just like we do.

Really, your truck must have mud flaps as well. A similar, if not the same, rule about rear tire coverage.

My story is that, "I bought it this way.... sir".

I actually happen to be one myself. I find it amazing to see the amount of support shown in this thread for the police, especially from a community of individuals who's interaction with law enforcement when riding is more than likely not positive. Thank you all.

Back to the bike . . I think I may take my chances with a ticket versus ripping my whole back end off on a trail. I'm sure the ticket would be cheaper!

Now I wonder how hard it's going to be for a noob to switch things out. I hope there is a few videos on YouTube.

you have to find that ONE that knows the law better than most, Even as a LEO myself i didnt realize that ...(research time). on the same note I bobbed mine today and built a nice bracket for the tag that mounts it flush under the taillight. I think with a little more finishing work it would look stock.
