There's roughly .4 gallons in reserve, I average 52 mpg so I'd make it 26 miles on reserve before sucking fumes.

I finally got gutsy with mine yesterday and filled it to the top and rode till it stalled,I got 110 miles before hitting to reserve and didn't have the guts to push more than 11 miles to fill it back up.At least I know now what my range is when riding with my buddies and their monster tanks.

Been wondering this myself. I always just fill up when it's convenient if I'm close to 100 miles on a tank. Still haven't put more than 1.25 gal in, but better to be safe than sorry!

It will depend upon how agessively you ride. The weekend before last, I was wringingthe bikeout in almost non-stop twisties and got about 90miles until reseve, then rode about another 15 miles to get home. I'm running with all of the standard mods, full exhaust and a pumper carb, so that will skew the figures a bit. I imagine I could have stetched it out to about 25 more miles before sucking fumes.

One of these days I plane to carry a couple of liter-sizedfuel bottles to find-out just the info you seek, because I've wondered the same thing.

If that's purely trail, I guess that's possible, but if you're getting that type of mileage with mixture of dirt and asphalt I would guess you're running a tad rich. I remember doing 120 to 130 KPH on the expressway from fill-up to reserve and getting 75miles.

ha you guys are lucky.. I get about 96mpg and it stalls out. Then i open the tank and see what the heck is going on? theres always atleast an inch or two left in the tank. I switch it to reserve and go about a mile if that and it stalls out like it has no gas. but i know it does i got stranded this way like 3 times. just a little confused
it wasnt this way before

Funny, after posting here last night I rode out to a friend's house and sure enough, I felt a little sputter about a mile from my house. Hadclose to90 miles on the tank. Flipped it to reserve, stopped at the next gas station and she took almost 1.5 gallons.

i made it 86.2 miles on a full tank. I then switched it to reserve and road conservative and made it 14 iles before I had to call someone to get me. It is not fun being stuck without gas. I will remember to look at my miles more often.
