Is there an aftermarket starter for a 2006 klx250s?

 

That's an interesting question. When I worked at a motorcycle shop for about 15 years, I can't recall much if any market outside of the manufacturer that provided starters. Now, I did notice that some starters from other units within the manufacturer's lineup would occasionally transfer between models either directly or with minor parts swapping. Recently I was at that shop, as those folks are still my friends, and heard them talking about a company that rebuilt existing starters in some cases. It seemed a small industry has started up to rebuild some of the more expensive components like starters, stators, and other such units. You might check with a good local shop to see if they know anything about it.

 

if your starter motor isn't working check the brushes you maybe able to change them for cheeper than the whole motor
