sport bike wheels on the klx
i'd love some supermoto wheels but don't really want to fork out a lot of money. i've seen people putting sport bike wheels on dirt bikes before & i'm just wondering how much trouble this is? has anyone here done it?

They'd be too heavy for a 250. Unless they came off a ninja 250, maybe. I wish supermoto wheels for our our bikes were cheaper, I really want a set.

when i first joined the forum there was a guy who did it.
he had to use a bottle jack to bend the swing arm out a bit though i never heard how it turned out...... |
i was thinking about ninja 250 wheels or similar. figured they would be lighter/ smaller then most sport bike wheels. i can't see size being a problem but the hubs, axel etc, i think would be the trouble

The old 250 ninja's were only 16 inch rims, new ones might be 17 inch I am not sure. You might be better off looking for 500r ninja rims, they swaped over to the 17" rims before the 250's did.
You will be able to get a better performance tire in 17" than you can get in 16". |
the new ones are 17. they have 110/70 & 130/70 tires stock. thats why i figured the klx could fit them

how much are sumo spoke wheels for the klx 250? isn't there a guy on here that sells them?
