Default Small oil leaks

09 KLX250S.
Trying to determine where a couple of small leaks are coming from. First one seems to be coming from some kind of an electrical connection tucked in behind the shift lever.

The other appears to be coming from behind the shift lever

Is there a typical cause that I should be looking into? Gasket?

Thanks for any help.

May be attributed to chain lube (normal) or counter sprocket seal, which is usually caused from having the chain adjusted too tight. Clean the area real good and keep an eye on it. BTW-the chain appears to be well lubricated.

Are you noticing and drip spots where you park the bike?

There are drops on the floor and have been since I bought the bike a while back. Some from the drain plug after being torqued to spec.

I did over due the chain lube last time (I'll wipe it down again before riding).

The drain plug uses a crushed washer that if missing or reused too many times could cause a leak there.

Finally found a good local source for crush washers at .18 cents each. Seems to be the majority of the problem, but keeping an eye on it for a while.
