Silly Exhaust Question.
I don't know if this is possible or not? I have heard of people taking there cat. converter off of there cars, taking the guts out of them and then replacing the empty pipe back in place. Do any of you think this is possible and or would help like getting a new
pipe? |
RE: Silly Exhaust Question.
The way the muffler can is assembled it would be awefully hard to get it apart let alone reseal it. If all you want to do is elminate the catalytic convert, just watch ebay and grab a klx300 muffler and headpipe. It will net you the same results but also it has a larger exhaust outlet on the can, 1.5" diameter vs the stock .5" diameter. It is considerably louder, flows better, and can be had cheap compared to an aftermarket pipe, with much less headache than gutting the stock can.

RE: Silly Exhaust Question.
Nope wasn't me, all I did was add an extension tip to the 300 can to keep the exhaust away from the rack and keep the fender clean. Someone else either on ADV or here opened the stock can and gutted the main end, not the CAT. part of it though.
