Default Shift Shaft Seal - 2006 KLX250

Shift Shaft Seal - Say that quick! 2006 KLX250

Little help replacing shift shaft seal.

Just pull it out with some kinda pick then press the new one in using something for a bushing (like a socket) and tap it in??

How about Part #

I looked at the parts diagram on one of the OEM parts sites and I cannot find the seal there. Not even a good guess what page of the parts stuff it would be on. Looked at many pages but did not see it.

Try this link:

Ronayers.com Microfiche Kawasaki>Motorcycle>2006>KLX250S>Gear Change Mechanism

Is part 92152-1075 the one your looking for?

I saw that and the word collar bothered me. Looks like it might go inside where the shaft goes thru the large part.

I guess it is the seal and at $1.72 sounds right. Just wish they would call it a seal.

Does it just pull out?

I haven't looked, but isn't the seal in the cover? I think the pic here is for internal parts.

I've never replace the one on the KLX. I had to do my KLR and it was like you said, grab it with a pick or something and pull it our and press the new one in.

From the way the Fiche shows it I would assume the KLX is the same. The Fiche shows the seal on the outside of the cover, making me think it outside---> inside.
