Shift lever for KLX 250
 

Tried IMS and Moose that were made for our bikes and they fit,but then of course were rather short like stock. The one I found that fits and is longer and also sticks out enough to set up high and clear the case is Moose Honda XR650L (93-06), part #MH13. It clears the case by at least 1\2 inch so I plan to take it off and bend it for a little less. This thing is at least 1\2 inch longer than stock. It's steel and made in the US. Now to try if an IMS for a Honda 650 will fit. Who wants to try? My bike is an 06 KLX 250.

Hey man! I was wondering if you had some pics of how that MOOSE sits when its all mounted??? I am definitely looking for a new option but I dont know if I want something longer and higher? I like the idea of some more case clearance tho! My case actually has a slight gouge in it from the damn thing bending in and rubbing. Pics would be great!!!

No pictures yet. I've yet to take the time and figure out how to post some. Don't worry about it being too high, that's up to you how high you set it. It does have a folding end\tip.

Hey NEWPARTSRULE, I see you're from Bellingham, which is only a few hours North East from me. Maybe we can get a ride organized this year. ;) Man I'm jonesing for someone to ride with. If this keeps up I'm gonna have to pay someone to play with me :eek:.........ok that just don't sound right. But I hope you guys know what I mean.:p :D

Got my act together and shot some pics. First time trying to post pics, hope it works.

cool....that shifter certainly looks like it has plenty of clearance...almost too much. it looks like it sits further ahead also, which may be a good thing too.

On another note...how about posting a close-up of your headlights?...they look interesting.

Imagine how the bike is tilted a bit. Those pegs are a bit shorter and wider than stock. You are right, there's at least 1\2 inch clearance. I'll take another side shot-straight on. I plan to take it off and bend it a bit to have less clearance. A headlight shot? OK, these things rock. As my riding buddy says "You can't have too much light". Look up PIAA.com, click Powersports, and find the 510ATP. Click the alternativ\additional views and it shows the beam pattern.
