Seat Concepts vs Corbin or Sargent
Is it worth the extra money to buy a Corbin or Sargent seat with the new pan? I do a lot of street riding and looking for a more comfortable seat. Is it easy to install the Seat Concepts cover?
There are plenty of threads on the saddles.

The Seat Concepts kit is fairly easy to install IF the staple gun you are using has enough jam. Hand or electric ones usually don't, air powered is best. And see if you can find/order some stainless steel staples.
Yeah the seat concepts pad and cover are easy to put on if you follow the included instructions. You can follow instructions right? Also if you don't want to own a staple gun that you will only use once maybe twice in your lifetime, go to your local tool rental store and pay the five bucks for two hour rental fee of an industrial electric staple gun. It makes the whole Install process quick and easy. You can even buy the staples for the gun right there at the tool rental store.
Seat concepts is well worth the money. I wouldn't spend the huge bucks on the Corbin or Sargent. I would , and have, gone with Corbin on street bikes though.

That's a damn fine idear right there...
The stainless steel staples do cost more but they won't rust. I ordered mine at the local hardware store. I don't recall how much more they cost compared to the same item non SS.
Not from personal experience but from reading here and there: the Corbin and Sargent seats add weight. They use their own seatpans.

I've swapped seats with another EX-500 rider that had a Corbin. It was truly comfy...but worth the $$$...my EX still has a stock saddle.
My KLX seat has finally broken in to my bony butt, or is it the other way around?
But once everything else I want to do(suspension, exhaust, pumper carb,351), has been done, I'm getting a Seat Concepts saddle.
Anyway, I'll probably need a new seat cover after a hare scramble or two...I'm good at finding places to crash.
