Very slick. . . . By clicking on "shop" the prices (MSRP) in Australian Dollars are $230 for the RP-3 model and $260 for the SP-3 model, however they state that they do not ship to Australia, New Zealand of South Africa. Considering that they're an Australian company, THAT just doesn't make sense!

Hmmmm For it to be compeditive I got a Hydration pack and Walmart for $20 and I am looking at a Thor Protector for $125. Soooo It should be ~$145 or so.
If it is lower then it is a good deal IMO.
If it is a little higher then it is still probably a good deal IMO.
If it is more that $20 higher, then I'll buy them seperately and save the $20 IMO
If it is more than $50 higher, then they are some pot smoking crackheads IMO

They want to protect their market, same reason they don't ship Rekluse (made in the USA) overseas, they want you to buy the goods through the dealers they have setup.

I too have that same walmart hydration pack, and a MSR chest protector.. I know it is a pain in the *** to get things out of the bag when stopped. Especially the way I need to put it on.
I haveto put the chest protector on, then put the bag on overtop, slip the bag straps under the shoulder protectors, then slide my arms through the arm protectors.. I need to take the bag off, I need to take my arms out of the arm protectors first, then unbuckle the bag...
Basically a pain. So therefor, personally, I would find this design worth it, if I had the extra $. but it is a luxury, so I don't NEED it, I just really want it.

Very cool, but very unaffordable for me.

Got my SP-3 on a group buy on TT, think it was just shy of 2 bills. Haven't had the occasion to use it yet (still acquiring all of the requisite hard core dirt gear) but it appears very well made and the modular design suggests someone with a serious understanding of what a dirt rider wants/needs had a big say in the features.

Pricey? Sure, but you know the old saw about getting what you pay for. Time will tell.
