Rear shock cover
I'd like to protect my rear shock with one of the fabric covers that helps keep mud dirt off. I see quite a few offerings for the 4-wheeler crowd but haven't been able to find anything for motorcycles. Anybody have any insight? Where to get them. Why you don't see them for motorcycles? That rear shock piston is exposed to the elements, and keeping the majority of the dirt off of it seems to make sense.
Thanks, Dan
Thanks, Dan
Old section of MTB inner tube stretched over the spring will do the trick. Remember to leave a gap at the bottom turn of the spring to let water drain. Less than a $ mod.
Thanks guys, I have already considered a home made inner tube type cover. I have an old front tube from the mcy that looks like a good diameter to cover the rear spring, but I would rather have something that goes on and off easily, and looks a little more pleasing. Funny that you don't see them on motorcycles,
Deej I've been here a while but I don't remember Tony? Did he post a thread on it, or a pic? What was/is his screen name so I can search.
