Radiator leak from hose
Hi,
I have found few green marks on the front buttom part of my engine. Coolant for sure. Found to be the front buttom hose is leaking from the edge of the pipe in the contact with the engine.. The pipe isnt rot and seems fine. I have tried to release the metal ring and re attach it. Didnt help.. Is there an o ring seal or i should replace the whole hose? |
If the leak is coming from hose connection and not from a gasket then you may be able to drain the coolant and detach the hose from the leaking joint and clean any signs of corrosion/debris. I would install a new hose clamp and tighten all of the other clamps-this will usually stop a leak.

does the hose for the radiator from all years the same?

I just checked my coolant bottle. The damn thing is cracked at the top and looking ready to fall apart. WTF, the rest of everything is still in as new condition. where do I get a new bottle??

Best bet for you is to probably make one, unless parts are readily available in Seychelles...which I'm guessing they are not. Google radiator overflow kits for dirtbikes, what they sell for $30-50, you could easily make with a trip to a hardware store and some patience for less than $10. You might already possess the junk to make it...
