Default Radiator hose.

Has anyone ever considered changing out their radiator hoses for some Samco hoses. They seem like overkill and expensive, but they look cool. Any opinions on this? And if you did get some would you order the ones for the KX250 or are you just SOL if you have an 07 KLX250s.

Are they the colored ones? I also heard you could install clear ones and run different colored antifreeze, that would look cool too.

If I were to do anything, Id build some stainless braided hoses.

+1 Braided = Strong. The only issue might be a tiny bit of extra weight. I think Carbon Fiber would be even better.

The samco hoses are the colored ones, the ones on many of the Kawi MX bikes on tour have blue ones, but you can get them in about any color. They say they are made of a stronger than stock vinyl material for high heat and pressure on race bikes. That's why i thought they might be overkill, there is a website they have, something like www.samco.com, or if you search samco on yahoo or google it will come right up. i couldn't find any that say they fit the KLX, but they have them for some of the newer Kx's so i thought maybe one of those sets would work. Do the hoses have to be a certain length or just fit on the bike. I imagine diameter is fairly important, but i wouldn't think a little variation in length would matter a ton.

See if they make the CV4 for yours, definatley better than stock.High temp silicon rubber that won't expand, smoother flowing fluid, resistant to uv rays and probably puncture proof for all you woods riders. www.cv4.net I haven't notice a performance difference combined with Engine Ice but my temp sticker on the rad doesn't go above 165 in mid summer.

Checked out there site but didn't see anything specifically for the KLX, but plenty for your KX model. I wonder if I could find one that would be compatible but hard to say without having them in hand.

If you are looking for bling and not worrying about an increase in performance of the hoses, then I know you can buy "braided"hose covers that slip on over the stock hoses, I suppose they would also help keep the heat in the hose...and probably a lot cheaper than buying the hoses themselves..just a thought.
