Rad Fan
Hi All,
Just got my klx250r (Australian version) and am in the process of putting her on a diet. Is there any reason why I should not take the fan off the radiator? I had a klx400 before and some mates have Wr250's that dont have the fans at all. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Cheers |
RE: Rad Fan
if you want try weighing the rad fan. and then weight the risk of overheating.
see which one is heavier |

I thought for the longest time that the fan just didn't work. Last weekend it finally did come on while climbing a steep hill. According to the Vapor's temperature gauge, it came on at 214-215F. It's reported that the overtemp dummy light will come on at 230F -- I've never seen it.
I wouldn't mind if itcame on earlier. On a street bike I had I wired a switch to manually over-ride it coming on, so when I was sitting in traffic I could proactively enable the fan. |
