I used a bit of square ply wood and bolted it on using the existing holes. I put tape on the mud guard for protection and then used a sponge between the mud guard and ply to add some shock protection and yep it worked well. I then bolted up selected luggage on and off I went. It was cheep and survived some hard core off road mountain riding.

Hey guys, maybe someone out there may have this setup that I'm looking at. I want to mount the nomadic and use the giant loop bag with it. Any problems with that set up??

My 2010 bike is 99.9% stock (I cut the stupid whale tail off). I bought it new and learned how to ride on it...I didn't even have my learners when I bought it!. Now that I can ride the trails with confidence I want to start mod'ing the bike. To start I want to get weight off my shoulders from heavy packs and put the weight on the bike.

Can you explain this "giant loop bag"? I'm not familiar.

I just installed the Nomadic rack today in about 10 minutes. Looks great and is super solid. I installed it with the tool kit bag on the back, but I'm leaning toward removing it, as it takes up a good portion of useable space back there, and I can't remember when I've actually used those tools away from home (80/20 commuter/trails).

I think the Giant Loop stuff is intended for bikes without any sort of rack. Why not contact Giant Loop and inquire?

I'd think the Nomadic and Coyote would be a great match.
