Problems with o2 sensor 2010 KLX250

Hello guys,

I've had quite a journey with my 2010 KLX250 since I bought it last March.
I bought without an o2 sensor, in place of it I have 2 resistors (job from the old owner).
In November, the bike stopped and the FI light went on. After checking everything without results I needed to open the engine.
I came to conclusion the piston rings got stucked in the piston grooves thus creating lack of compression.

I fixed everything and the bike is running, but the FI light is still on. The error sends to o2 sensor temperature, but I don't have this sensor, as I said earlier.

Should I get an o2 sensor eliminator? What happens when I ride without the sensor? The problem I had with the piston rings could be related with the absence of the sensor?

What you guys think?
Thanks and sorry for my englando

get the 02 eliminator will let you bike run less lean

Shouldn't the bike run a bit richer when in absence of o2 sensor?

without the sensor or eliminator the bike will not have a signal and throw a code and run a emergency map

Hi, I’m a little confused. You say you don’t have the o2 sensor (you have the connector with the two resistors?) It sounds to me like you already have the o2 sensor eliminator, right?

I don't have the sensor nor the elimination kit. What I have is, I supose, a "DIY" o2 elimination kit, which corresponds to both resistors.
hope this helps, thanks.
