Price on new 09 KLX250SF?

Hi all,
New here. I was looking at an 09 KLX250SF today. They had two 09's on the floor. asking $4299. The idiot I spoke to said out the door would be closer to $5000. I was wondering if that($4299 out the door) was a good price and if I could get a good or better CASH out the door sale. Blue Book retail on an excellent model is $3505. What do you think a good/fair cash offer for "out the door" would be. It looks like the dealer is hurting, low inventory, could have shot an cannon through there and not hit anyone. Thought they might need cash to meet payroll, LOL.

FWIW i paid $3600 OTD on my new 09 KLX250s last year.

Sounds like they are trying to screw you.

*edit* Also i don't know what "out the door" means where you live. In some states thats tax, title, tags and the whole bit. In MO thats just the price of the vehicle and any dealer setup fees and what not. You pay tax and tags and that stuff at the DMV.

3500 or buy used.

I paid 2500 for an 09 with 46 miles on it. Yep...that's a good deal. :D

Tell them to keep it at that price. Way too high.

And as far as offering cash, they'd really rather you finance it. They make money on that.

I'd shoot for a nice used one. I paid 2900.00 for a '09 SF with 1200 miles.

Tell them you will finance 3800 - 4000 out the door and then when you get the first bill pay it off.

It all depends where you live...and it is ridding season...I paid 3998 OTD in May

I wouldn't pay more than $3100 on an 09 considering it is 2011.

No help, posting from Australia.

But I just can't believe how cheap you guy's get these for in the US. You want get a new one cheaper than $7k here, and thats after they have dropped prices in the last year I assume because of the strong Aus dollar.

Bassically we pay twice as much:confused:

I spoke to my local dealer about it and he reckons ADR (Australian Design Regulations). I reckon BS, surely California has more regs than us here??

Sorry to side track, I just find that price diffence unbelievable.
