Default Pivot Turns / Log Crossings on my KLX250S *video*

Was out on some local trails the other day and got stuck on a log, then figured out how to do basic pivot turns and practiced them on a smaller log. As you can tell from the video I was a little excited... and I like to talk to myself while riding alone hahaha

Very nice, that's a good skill to have. I always struggled with the logs on my KLX.

Thanks for the comments, I seem to go out of my way to find logs to try to cross/get stuck on. I guess I should probably grab a skid plate at some point too hahah

I have seen that video, it's great! My friends and I used to talk about the same thing years ago when we were riding bmx and mountain bikes. We used to visualize the jump/feature beforehand and always commit to whatever you are trying to do as though you've already mastered it. Sometimes it's surprising what you can pull off first try!

That explains a lot. I've ridden Mt. Bikes for over 30 years, and competed in very low skill trials competitions, all of which really helps now that I'm riding a motorbike, including low speed skills, low traction surfaces and even traffic awareness on the (paved) road.
