I would prolly clean the ride first to help pin point the location.

Thanks Dragone,

cleaned after I took the pics, just wanted the pics for some extra proof for the dealer as the leak is a lot more obvious when combined with some dirt.

Cheers

Now that the ride is clean, where do you see the oil leak?

now that it's clean you can spray it with some aerosol foot powder and run it a little bit and then look to see where it originates, it will leave a trail in the powder

Taking the skid plate out of the way will allow you to see things a lot easier when you do the leak check.

Thanks All,

It seems to be coming from the front sprocket, I just took the sprocket cover off and it seems to be running down a little ridge and along the frame down to the little bash plate cover.. I haven't heard of the powder but will try tommorrow, I can't run it at the moment. the oil is no higher than the sprocket so it is sprocket height or below. My biggest concern is that it will be a major fix and the dealer will take a long time to fix.

Cheers

Chris.

I like the powder idea. Sounds like it would work too. My thinking is chain lube as a first thought. Causes a mess running down the case at the CS. Why my Q on cleaning to see what may be causing the issue. Yes, seals go bad because of age or grime. Again, curious as to what it is.

My guess is the seal was defective from thegit-go or they damaged it during assembly.
