Oil leak? tires leaking air?
 

So i was looking at my bike and noticed a small oil leak on the left side. Its really not that big. how can i fix it?will it get worse?please tell me i dont have to take it apart :( there must be a spray or something right?

I also find myself pumping air into my tires frequently. I had the bike checked at a dealer and they did 22 psi front tire and 25 psi the back tire. I dont ride off-road not yet at least so its all paved road. Its a 2007 KLX250 and the manual says about the same when it comes to psi. The tires have new heavy duty tubes so im not sure whats going on. is that psi for tubeless maybe?

Mine did something like that a few years back and I just tighten the bolts that held the cover on.

yes, to fix that properly you will need to remove the engine case & replace the gasket...... you may get away with tightening the bolts a little, if they are loose.......

it is perfectly normal for tyres to lose a little air, hd tubes also leak more than normal ones. :cool:

why is that?

Just to clarify, when you say "left side", which component on the left is leaking?...valve cover, generator cover, head gasket, base gasket, countershaft seal, other?

Oh...I see the pic now. That's an odd place for a leak. On that cover it usually is more common at the rubber electrical wiring bundle or at least down in the oil level area.

Regarding the tire - Make sure the valve core is tight.
