noob question, lean and rich
Hi Guys,
I am about to rejet my carb with the dynojet kit next week, just trying to do some research, the thing i don't understand is how do you tell that the bike is running rich or lean, I mean, what are the symptoms if it is lean or rich, hope someone can explain?? Cheers Chris. |
RE: noob question, lean and rich
Unfortunately, I think the best way is to "read the plug" which is not that easy because you have to remove the plug.
By reading the condition of the insulator core and the electrode, you can get a good idea of the combustion conditions. You can also get some indication by riding it and by the sounds (i.e. popping), but that's very subjective. Popping can be caused by both lean OR rich conditions. |
