Default ninja 250 wheels

I saw some guys with d-trackers were making use of ninja wheels for supermoto application. Anyone tried this or know if it would fit a s or sf model bike?

It can be done, probably the easier Hooligan Mod compared to larger sport bike rims. This Mod requires some machining and a bit of ingenuity, not plug n play.

The following links are for my son's 99 KLX300:

KLX300 Hooligan Mod
KLX300 Hooligan Mod - 16" EX250 rims - KLX/KLR 125/140/250/300 - ThumperTalk

Don't really see a reason to do this for an SF model.

The problem is the ninja 250 rear wheel is not wide at all..

Skinny rims they are, 2.15 & 2.5. I share a concern for a pinched tire profile. For a 250 / 300cc street tard, 100 & 130 tires are enough. 10/10th canyon carving, maybe not.

This set up would be fun on a tight Moto Gymkhana.

I'd try my old ex-500 wheels but the rear is a drum and they are 16". I remember having trouble trying to find tires (I wanted) for 16" wheels.
Newer EX-500's had disc front/back and were 17".
A cush hub would be nice for all my road use.
If I had a metal shop....I'd be making wheel spacers right now.

Wanted my kids feet on the ground, so I went with smaller diameter rims / tires. Pirelli has Sport Demon scooter tires built the same as the sport bike tires.

My garage shop took 25 years to equip, it started with a ShopTask and grinder.

IllKing - PM me or post here and I'll try to answer your ??s
