New Skid Plate (Bill Blue variety)

A package arrived for me at the Post Office today. It was a genuine CRD bashplate replica made by the skilled hands of Mr. Bill Blue. Very nice work, throughout.

I've always liked the looks of these, but wasn't able to find any used ones on Ebay, so when Bill offered to make one I was all over it. I especially like how the slots in each side of the plateaccommodate the frame loops on the KLX.

No time to mount it yet, but I thought I'd give y'all a peek.

Awesome plate... Although I think you'll have a hard time draining the oil out that hole without making a mess!:D
I made my own plate too, and my drain hole is much bigger, and i still have a hell of a time not getting oil everywhere...
Maybe there's a trick I don't know about?

mine has a smaller hole than that and i dont have any problems.... pull the plug and let it sit there on its kickstand and it all goes well.....

For some reason, mine starts to drain out one way (towards the right), then as the flows tapers off it starts draining off the left side of the hole... Hard to explain, but I've got to baby sit the whole drain process and tilt the bike at just the right time when the flow changes, otherwise it pisses all over the skid plate.

I'm not 100% sure of the price now but it wasn't anywhere near $180, I think it was around $120 - $130 Aus. Here is my first post about the plate https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_47196/tm.htm
