new to site and have some questions

hello i am new here to this site. I have recently bought a 09 KLX 250S it already has a HMF slip on and a stage 2 jet kit. I have a new air filter order and the air box snorkel for the 220 kdx. my questions are will a fmf powerbomb header work with my hmf or will I have to get a fmf muffler. and the crank vent mod I am pretty sure I know how to do it but if someone had some pics they could share with me or something it would be great.

thanks

I would skip the Header and Crank vent mod and just go ride.

Save up all your money that you would spend on expensive headers and other gimmicks that give no real bang for your buck and get a big bore when you ready. For now, shut up and ride, ride, ride!!! Enjoy and welcome.:)

+1 to what Graham said

The only real upgrade you need is a big bore kit.
Everything else is negligible in comparrison.

If you ride in the dirt & want to go fast, do suspension first. Front forks revalve/spring, rear re-spring if required.

Goobie, I'll give you some answers.

If your slip-on fits directly into the stock header with the stock seal in place it most likely will not work with a Powerbomb as the "nipple" on the slip-on will be far smaller in O.D. than the I.D. of the Powerbomb that it would have to slide into. I have verified this with the Megabomb and I think it also applies to the Powerbomb.

The vent mod is not worth the effort IMHO.

I would advise you to leave the airbox lid off and jet accordingly.
