New rear rack

Finished my rack today. I wanted something that would be out of the way. The most I usually carry is a lunchbox to work or a 5lb bag on for camping trips. Total cost is $1.58. Can't decide if I want to powder coat it. What do you think? |
Nice job! you must have scavenged the metal, if all you have into it is $1.58. Way to go.
I love to see nice looking home made stuff. Dan |
Looks nice and clean. I personally would paint it black, maybe just spray can instead of powder coat to keep cost down.

That is not just the best looking homemade luggage rack I have ever seen.
It is the best looking luggage rack I have ever seen period. Great job. Craig PS: have you considered counter sinking the mounting holes and using counter sunk screws to have a completely flat top surface? |
Very nice job. Best looking rack I have seen for the KLX250. No sharp edges... very nice design! I like the slots because they can be used for strapping and/or bungee cords. I prefer straps though...
How did you cut the slots? They look perfect! |
Very nice! Looks great and I'm sure it will be fine for a smaller load.
|
How thick is it?
|
Do you want to make me one?
|
cool shape.
It even looks home-made |
Nice job on the design, looks like the plate was stamped. How thick is the rack as asked previously? Agreed on the above countersunk bolt holes mention. Nice job.
