Hey everyone, just traded my ninja 300 for a klx250, much fun.. however today while I was doing some offloading I hit a "puddle" and dropped the bike into it, the kill switch and electrical start switch went into the water, got it upright as quick as possible, and tried to get it started, it was doing it's normal sound while starting, but never started, so I gave it a few minutes, then when I tried again it made no sound. I turn they key and the dash lights all work fine.. kick stand up and in neutral still no luck, any ideas? Much appreciated.

 

Probably flooded the carb when it was on its side. Verify that all of the harness looks like its connected and intact. Make sure that the spark plug lead has a good connection. Hold the throttle wide open when cranking and see if she will attempt to start. If its still no go, then I'd pull the spark plug and verify that the ignition is working. Let me know what you have from there.

 

Seems there was just some mud or sediment behind the starter, just doused it down with water and she runs like a champ! Thanks for the help Haha, this bike is a lot more fun than my zx6r.. cya ride safe
