hi guys
i'm new to this forum.when i signed up i had about a million questions
to post.but spent a lot of time reading just about everying, now i
don't have too many to ask.done some mods, renthal fat bars and
adaptors/rad guards/moose hand guards/gps mount/48 tooth gear
made my own longer dog bones, lowered it about 2 in/cut down the
side stand.still all right ground clearance i dont do much jumping
to old to slow now(face plants hurt).i'm ordering new jets this week
i'm looking at 130 main/40 pilot.after reading the posts it looks like
a good place to start.one question that i'm still not clear about is
the slide mod[drill out to7/64]does anybody have a pic of the hole
or holes to drill.is there only one or more,i may have read it wrong.
i looked up the carb in the manual, pic's are not that good.if anybody
has a closeup pic and a little more info,so i dont screw it up and drill
it wrong.i'm also planing on a fmf q4 and a powerbomb header.i know
i read the post about the header but they all cant be crap.i got a fmf
power core4 for my wife's ttr-125 fits great looks great, done the jets
now i can start it in the cold.i studded the tires with sheet meatal screws
and went for a spin, major traction.(534 screws all by hand)before all that
no way in h#ll it wouldgo.klx wont go in the cold,i'll drain the battery
empty and wont even get a pop out of it. i guess i've gone on long
enough. looking foward to some replies thanks.

Welcome aboard.

i'm still not clear about is the slide mod[drill out to7/64]

The slide has 2 holes. One is for the needle jet to go in. It's the hole in the middle of the slide. The other one is the one that needs to be drilled. It's the off-center one.

As the person who received the crap FMF header, I will agree that not all are like that. But I will never recommend them to anyone ever again based on their response to the situation. Fourstrokeworks makes a really nice header as well and I wish I'd gone that route instead.

Welcome to KF. as you found out lots of good info. Congrats on the "studded" tires! Did the same myself, what a blast. What spacing between holes on the dogbones? I would like to do the same on mine.

It's almost as if FMF has the P-bomb built separately from its mufflers. I've heard more than one person complain about the P-bomb, but have not heard a peep regarding the Q4 or any of their silencers. Do you find this to be the case?

Oh I almost forgot, double space after each sentence, and break your posts into a couple of paragraphs. That will let members be able to read the post a little easier.
