Default New Exhaust

The UPSman delivered my Big Gun this morning so I went straight to the garage.I did the exhaust jet kit airbox lid romoval and smog crap.I did;nt get to put the uni filter in cuz I ran out of filter oil so I'm running the stock filter now.I have to agree that the hardest part was getting the carb out and getting the rubber tube between the carb and air box back together.I went with a 128 main jet, clip in 4 th slot and 21/2 turns out.It started right up and runs excellent. The whole job took about 5 hours with a nice lunch break.I wanted to thank all of you for all the info I have read over the last couple months it really helped make it alot easier.I am now wanting to get the 13 tooth sprocket put on.

Congrats on the mods. How long did it take you? Was it a brand new can of UNI oil? because i've oiled mine twice now with some left over. Also are those dynojets that you used? what altitude are you at?

Cheers.

The uni filter came dry and I just had a little Kand N filter oil left from the 919,I will get some oil tomorrow. It was the FMF jet kit but I think it's the same as dyno jet just different part #.Altitude I'm not sure I'm in eastern Iowa.Took about 5 hours all together with a couple breaks.I can't believe how good it sounds now,and it run really good, with a noticable increase in power. It seems like a whole different bike now.I think I will probably order a quiet core for it as it is kind of loud.

thanx millman

I looked up where you were from and I think maybe just over 300ft if i remember. I was thinking of going 128 main jet from the 124 but i'm 3500 feet so i might just leave it.

I just got off the big gun web site I ordered a quiet core and was looking at their suggested jetting setting tha only one the mentioned was the main jet but the recommend a 145 main jet that can't be right, what do you guys think.I checked the plug this afternoon and it looked good if anything maybe a little rich but i'm gonna leave it alone for now and check again in a few days.
