New bars with risers *updated*

Who here has installed new bars with risers? What bend did you get? Did you have to get longer cables?

I am looking to get the ProTaper Bar Mounts and the Pro Taper EVO 1-1/8" Oversized Handlebars in the CR High bend. Trying to avoid the need for longer cables though and looking to see what will work.

Guess we will see if it will work. Ordered the above, should be here Fri.

How much taller will they be over stock. Once I recover from my current mods. (find a new money tree.) That will be my next upgrade. I have bent my current bars and looking for a little more hieght in the bar and looseing a little bike wieght would be cool too.

I'm like a day from ordering new bars as well, but I believe you may need longer cables... or rerouting of the cables at least, based on the research I have put forth. Though you'll be the judge, hope it works out don't forget to post.

Installed Tusk CR mid bend (pretty close to stock rise) and 1" risers. It works. But still plan for taller bars.
Also considering some of those front-risers that move the bars up and forward. Anyone use those?

With 1" risers too? Maybe. Rerouting the clutch cable may be needed. The good thing is that if you find it too tight, remove the risers and get a longer cable, and ride in the meantime.

Yes, I installed Renthal Fat Bars and risers.
Yes, I needed longer cables. I got mine from Motion Pro.

I also added Cycra hand guards. They're pretty nice.

Which of the cables did you have to replace. Did you try to reroute them?

I was referring to Tusk High bends without the 1 in risers... sry I didn't make that more clear.

I want a high bend for sure, but I also want red bars lol, and only the highbends come in red by convenience for myself :-P I'm also debating the tusk hand guards as well, I think ill just end up cutting the levers down if needed; seeing how there ground up on the ends already.

also rob, you need to trim that kawi mullet man, I wish I had my bike up here, so I could take a pic of how I trimmed mine; turned out good.
