Kawasaki KLX250S (2006 - '10) Motorcycle Batteries - BigCrank.com

I have bought 2 batteries from them. Good batteries.

Wow, I'm still on my original from November of 05, but in comparison, my wife's 06 XT225 needed a new battery in less than a year. I think some batteries sit on a shelf for a while before getting into a bike. I also maintain all three bike batteries once a week for 24 hrs.

If you want to drop some weight, look at lithium ion batteries like this

It's what I use, and it actually works better than the stock one. It turns it over faster, and the bike starts better.

Motorcycle batteries sure do seem to have inconsistent lives. I have had as little as 2 years, and as many as 19 years! Every time, I always employ the same regime of trickle-charging when not in use.

Whatever you get and wherever you get it, I'd recommend buying a dry cell or gel cell. They reduce the risk of acid spills & leaks, and they seem a bit less fragile.

hmm.. interesting. lithium you would have to have some sort of different charging system. for it to work right. i have a bunch of lithium polymer batteries from rc planes and cars. think i would just rather keep it somewhat stock. i was looking at this battery.

I've installed Ballistic battery (LiFePO4), very light weight, motor fires up quickly, cheap enough $99 four-cell.
