Ill bite, what kind of jet kit are you using and did it come with instructions?
|
^beat me to it.
if dynojet, maybe start with the clip in the middle (third notch down from top). and if you have washer spacers, they go on TOP of the clip to help hold it steady in place, not under the clip. |
Thanks guys, I ended up putting a 128 main in and 3 spots down. She roars down the street now ;)

TMAC: What's your elevation? Are you able to get to redline or close to it with good pull throughout rpm range?
|
if you purchased the dynojet kit the instructions have suggestions as to what jetting and needle positions to run for altitude, also there is a tech line to call for the manufacturers recommendations. Theres a trouble shooting section also that helps if needed....

my elevation is about 2000 ft

At that elevation, you may have a chance of the 128 DJ being on the rich side. Look for the tell-tale signs: excess soot on the exhaust and fender, darker spark plug, and lower fuel mileage. The 128, and even the 124, were rich on my setup at around 2,500 ft and up. But our bikes and setup aren't all the same. Some guys are happily running #132 main jets.
