Default Need a better seat..

Don't know if this has been covered but just wanted to share what I did to make the klx 2x4 seat much better.

Picked up a coleman atv seat cover. Has adjustable latches and fits the klx seat great. Best part it's only $20. Couldn't see spending 150+ for a seat. Much rather put the money to a BB kit.

Looks comfy, nice find for $20. Got monkey butt first serious ride on mine (bout 2.5 hours in woods and oilfield roads). Subsequent rides havent been that bad, but theres def room for improvement!

I would be done at around 20 miles. Now 40 is no issue.

Wow it's on sale for $15

Been biding my time and $$$ to pick up a Renazco. But until then I've been wearing the Alpinestars padded shorts. I'm surprised how much longer I've been able to ride with them on.

As for the Coleman, how's the weight?

Heck, I shaved mine down. Don't like cushy seats.

Weight is nothing. Probably no more then a light sweat shirt.

Default Coleman/Wal-Mart seat pad

After 2200 miles of trail riding the one I had on an XT225 was flatter than a pancake. Probably still worthwhile at $20 every 2k miles, but they do have a definite life.
