My fab of the DRC fender eliminator kit
 

I came across a couple of guys on here that mounted up a LED edge light from DRC originally made for the DRZ. I liked the looks of it especially compared to the stock fender and tail light. So i got mine last week slapped her on there along with new front and rear turn signals and IMO looks damn fine. Its tucked back under the rear fender a little but shouldn't be a problem unless someone is a couple of feet on my ass. As far as I know it will be legal, i guess we will see if i get pulled over for it. I'm also working on installing the 331 kit from bill blue if you wonder where my tank, exhaust and shrouds are. I should have pics of that before long. sorry pics aren't better just a cell phone

The bracket look better than the one that came with mine. I ended up making my own which was a pain. Looks GOOD

the homemade cut along with the oem DRZ plate bracket is still the best imo. your way is a lot of money and an odd looking setup, obviously made for another bike. that's what I think of it. jmo

I think it looks pretty good. Just like with my dad's Edge taillight on his DRZ, I would worry about traffic seeing you, especially in direct sunlight. I ride behind pops every time so he's usually OK. But even knowing he is there and looking right at it, I'll lose his taillight in the evening / morning sun. And those turn signals you've got look smaller? I think its a slick setup to squeak by as DOT legal but eh, I'd be concerned with getting ran over by SoccerMom in her 2008 Abrams Tank.

yeah, that just looks slick how you cut it. I plan on doing mine next spring or when I can get my hands on a dremel. I'm too cheap to buy one just for that task.

Barthel - where did you get the black side panels and fork guards? Stealthier good looks...

That DRZ rear tail light looks alot cleaner. The DRC MOTOled unit I installed is more like the baja designs, incorporates a small rear fender similar clean look.
