Default MX rear fender for '07?

I saw a video on YouTube a while ago but he chopped his frame up and I would rather not do that. Does anyone make a rear fender kit for our bikes? Or does anyone know how to do this without chopping up the frame?

DeeJ, we need more "how to" threads and info sticky'd in this forum!

I have the Maier rear MX fender for a klx300 on mine..... you have to cut some of the cross members to make it fit……. I left the rest of the frame intact and bent up the frame so it would tuck under the fender instead of sticking out.

I like it and makes the bike look more like a dirtbike and less like a farm bike.

My brother and I are just doing his with a Maier fender. I will take a photo later today and post what we did. It has worked out really well. We just notched the tops of the sub frame tubes where they bend down and gently bent them up, two small welds will finish it off. We built an aluminium bracket for an edge taillight and licence plate.

you dont need to notch the rear tubes... just insert a long (and strong) bar into the tubbing and use a lever bar to slowly bend each side up.

I kept the rear cross member attached and mounted my tail lights to it... I have pics of mine some where.... do a search and you should find them.

That’s the similar to how i did mine only i cut-off the top cross member (the high one), and instead of slotting the main frame i just used a long bar and bent them up.

Had to also trim off a few pieces here and there to get the mounting clamps for the fender to line up properly....

if i did it again I would just chop the whole fender and attach the tail light to the fender its-self.
