Default mods & jets in process....got a couple questions

Okay guys Im in the process of doing the jets and other mods but I have a couple questions I could really use some help on.

1) What carb line do I put the "Y" fitting on?......there are 2 lines...one on each side of the carb...is it the throttle side pink line?

2) When you say to put that diaphram in hot water....how hot?...kinda vague

After work today I removed the panels/seat/tank and removed plugged the smog stuff, plus I installed the KDX snorkle and oiled/installed the UNI replacement filter. It got cold and dark so I stopped until the morning. I still have to remove the carb and jetso I may have more questions tomorrow but thats it for now. All in all I would say its going well after reading all the threads with pics and great info that everyone has taken the time to post.

1) BOTH - I'm color blind so I'll defer your pink question to someone who has a clue.. the ‘Y’ connector mod is done to both carb breather lines to ensure that air can get in (gas can fill) during water hole riding.

2) Hot as it comes out of the tap. Don't boil it and no need to put water on a stove to get hotter...Hot tap water is perfect...

Thanks DirtSurfer, I have your install printed out and have it ready for reference. I have read it probably 8 times and I really appreciate you doing the how too.I noticed in that thread that you did both lines but I swear I read a thread somewhere that they did only one-line.
I guess One line is pink and the other is orange...apears to be different size I.D. too.

I also still need to install my 45T rear sprocket but thats gonna have to wait till another day.
