mixed post
Well I decided that a week of not riding was just too much to handle. So since it was not raining this morning, I turned on the gas..........pulled the choke...........hit the starter...........and.......IT STARTED RIGHT UP!!!!! But then that's what it has done every time since using my tried and true method of shutdown and start up. Anyhoo, since its still dark on my brutal 2 mile commute to work, and since I actually saw one car this morning on the way to work, I had to switch from high beam to low beam and I noticed something. It's something I noticed on all of the vehicles that I have owned in the last 10 years. If you hold the switch half way between high and low you get both beams. Man if we could have that much light, airplanes would be trying to land in front of us. Of course I only did this for a second or two, as the bike was probably not designed to supply power to both beams at the same time. But it was sweet for a second. And it felt good to ride again. I don't think I have ever gone more than a week without riding, and all through last summer I rode almost everyday. I remember someone here talking about or asking the question about what helmet to wear on the road or around town, I love wearing the MX helmet gloves and goggles, I mean if you're going to ride this bike, you might as well look the part right? Of course that's easy for me to say since I don't really do any highway riding unless its the two miles to all of the trails, forest service roads, and State and park areas around me. Man I'm lucky that I have all of this around me, I hope I never take it for granted. In fact since getting the KLX I think I have come to appreciate just what I do have in my own back yard. OK there were at least 3 or 4 different subjects in this post, the coffee is really hitting 6th gear today,

That is a mixed post..lol
I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado and I made my headlights a 4hi conversion by simply adding a diode between the HI beam relay and the low beam...would be nice on the bike too.

Is there alot of single track trails around you, or mostly forest service roads? We ride up around naches and there are acouple hundred miles of single track trails but it gets really dusty later in the season. Always wanted to ride Capital forest and some places on the wet side.
